We’re not going to sugarcoat this: we fought to elect the Biden Administration and a Democratic majority in Congress so that we can finally enact the policies needed to address the climate crisis and support communities who are already bearing the brunt of its impact. They must deliver on these promises.

John, it is unacceptable to drag our feet on addressing the climate crisis any longer.
Every minute, we inch closer to hitting a point of no return — and climate scientists have already predicted a significant increase in extreme weather events over the next 20-30 years.
In St. Louis, there are clear signs of how people, especially Black and brown people, are hurting because of a lack of local funding and government support for climate action and environmental protection. Our children are making more and more trips to the emergency room for asthma attacks and extreme temperatures are driving up electric bills.
This is a crisis of great magnitude, and we can't wait any longer for empty legislation: we need bold solutions. That’s why Cori has been a bold advocate for passing a Green New Deal and introduced a Green New Deal for Cities — a policy that would enable community-based environmental policies.
But one of the challenges we constantly face is attacks from the far-right and Fox News: their friends in the fossil fuel industry aren’t happy with our plans and they want to divide us so we never take action.
