You'll never believe what some self-serving politicians did this week.
Firefighters and law enforcement officials put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe, and at a minimum deserve to make a living wage. Well, some folks in the legislature don't seem to agree with that and cut $26 million in funding for their pay.
Will you chip in $50 right now to help fight for a living wage for firefighters and law enforcement?
This change to Governor Edwards' proposed budget also makes it harder to retain law enforcement officers, and since violent crime is on the rise. That can only hurt our state even more.
