I am going to be fully transparent with you: We need to play to win in Iowa. And our events team has a plan for that.

We're starting an 8-day, 18-county barnstorm across Iowa. We're going to talk to voters in rural counties. If that means driving that extra hour to talk to voters that don't always get a chance to share their stories, we're doing it.

But here's the thing: Events are expensive to put on. We have to rent the bus, and pay for the gas for the bus...plus get food for volunteers...and the clipboards to sign up more volunteers... plus secure the venues where Joe can talk with caucus-goers.

All of this requires grassroots funding, but if we're going to make our goal to greenlight this budget, we need to pick up the pace. This week is off to a really slow start:
