It's Earth Day, folks — a reminder of how important it is that we do everything we can to protect our public lands and waters.

That means taking action today and every day, in every way we can. If you agree that protecting our public lands and waters should be a priority, can you add your name next to mine?

Here in New Mexico, public lands are woven into the fabric of our lives. I’ve made so many memories on these lands, backpacking with my wife, Julie, fly-fishing with my sons, Micah and Carter, and enjoying the fresh air on a morning hike.

In Congress, I’ve spent my career fighting to keep public lands in public hands and protect them from the worst effects of climate change — from helping make the Great American Outdoors Act law so we can finally repair and protect our national parks and federal lands, to my work today to push the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act across the finish line and ensure that we invest in the protection of at-risk species and public lands for future generations.

I’ve also fought to see a victory on the state level in New Mexico when, after years of hard work and collective activism, the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled against wealthy landowners who tried to block access to public waters on their property.

On Earth Day and every day, I will always commit to keeping public lands public, and fight to protect our lands and waters from pollution and degradation.

It will take all of us to protect our public lands and water. Add your name to show your support:
