It's a Big Year!

With a midterm coming up and all of the drama (good and bad) happening around the country and around the world right now, it’s easy to forget just how many people are struggling.

Our Birthday is coming up and even though we’re celebrating all of our accomplishments, we know just how much we have left to do.

It’s estimated that over 117 Million eligible voters did not cast a ballot during the 2018 Midterms and around 21 Million of them didn’t have an ID. Voter participation is vital if we want to keep our Democracy alive.

Voices are not being heard!

One of these voices was Bradley’s. He had his license seized when he went to jail in February. When he was released in March, he had no way to access the services he needed to get back on his feet. Now, with the help of Spread The Vote + Project ID, he has his Louisiana State ID.

Here are 5 things you do to help for our 5th birthday!

1. Sign up to be a Hamer’s Hero. You’ll get a sticker when you pledge at least $5 a month for 3 months and a mug if you can get 5 friends to do the same.

2. Follow what we’re doing over at Project ID Action Fund, so we can push for more equitable ID laws.

3. Share this email and encourage others to follow our work on Social Media.

4. Donate $10 to cover the cost of printing 10 voter guides, $40 to cover the cost to obtain an ID or $250 to support the training costs for a community partnership.
