Friend, climate experts and scientists are sounding the alarm: If we are going to deal with climate change, we must take big and urgent action.

Combating climate change is the cornerstone issue of our generation. Climate change causes extreme weather events like hurricanes, droughts, floods, forest fires, and heat waves, in addition to causing mass migration, disrupting supply chains, and increasing security risks.

Climate change is happening, and it's well past time we do something about it.

You know me – I'm a scientist and a STEM professional. And I've spent my time in Congress fighting for our environment and convening with climate change experts across the globe.

Taking on climate change isn't just about slashing coal and gas emissions for the sake of it. It's about protecting the livelihoods of working families all across the country – and to do that, we have to speak up and take bold action. That's why I'd like to hear from you today, friend. Please, before our live poll closes at midnight, tell me:

Should Congress do more to
combat climate change?

Happy Earth Day. There's work to be done,
