Happy Earth Day! Wow – it's been 52 years since the first Earth Day celebration! It's been a busy day with many observances and events showcasing the progress Charlotte is making in creating a sustainable, healthy city.
I was pleased to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony that launched our new Charlotte fleet of electric buses! And the Bike to Breakfast event this morning was a fun event highlighting the progress of the Uptown CycleLink promoting human-powered biking.
As Chair of our City Council Environmental Committee, I've made championing sustainable infrastructure and a resilient future a priority!
However, there is still much to do to address the clima te crisis and I very much want to continue the work I have started as your At-Large City Councilwoman. I humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming primary election.
