Hello —

Every Earth Day, our inboxes get flooded with messages about the importance of this day.

This day is important, John. Earth Day is a reminder of how precious our planet is, and how we are running out of time to stop the deadly impact of climate change.

This month, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warned we have until 2025 (just three years!) to make deep cuts to greenhouse gas emissions if we want to avoid climate catastrophe. To put it simply: we need to act now if we want to save our planet, and that's why Dwight was one of the first lawmakers to sign on to the THRIVE Act.

The Transform, Heal, and Renew by Investing in a Vibrant Economy (THRIVE) Act will invest $10 trillion in Black, brown, and Indigenous communities, create millions of unionized jobs, and combat environmental injustice. Sign on now as a citizen co-sponsor of the THRIVE Act this Earth Day. >> [link removed]

The THRIVE Act is our blueprint out of ecological disaster. It prioritizes justice and equality when tackling climate change. And it will boldly address the interlocking crises of economic inequality, environmental injustice, and the climate crisis while building a better life for Philadelphians and vulnerable communities.

Our children and grandchildren deserve to THRIVE, not just survive. The THRIVE Act is a roadmap to building a sustainable future for all. Sign the petition now if you're with Dwight in the work to combat climate change this Earth Day. >> [link removed]

In solidarity,

Team Evans
