Hello and Happy Earth Day!

The truth is, addressing climate chaos and protecting Mother Earth is a top priority for our movement — and for humanity. It runs through every single one of our battles for justice, and failing to act will only undermine our struggle for racial, economic, and social justice.

But too many politicians are in the pocket of Big Oil and choose their donors over the people and the planet.

Not me — I signed the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge because I will ALWAYS prioritize the health of working people over corporate profits.

Our opposition, on the other hand, is bankrolled by a Super PAC funded by $2 MILLION from an oil industry oligarch.

It’s not going to be easy to match up with the amount of resources the fossil fuel industry is pouring into stopping our campaign, but I believe in my heart that as long as we continue to stand together, we can overcome anything they can throw our way.

I’m proud to support the Green New Deal because I understand that BIG problems like addressing climate chaos require BIG solutions, not fealty to the status quo or corporate lobbyists.

Cleveland — a city that’s been ranked one of the worst in the country for asthma — deserves a fighter for environmental justice, not someone who will take money from the fossil fuel industry and look the other way while our people get sick and our planet faces catastrophe.
