Today is Earth Day, a day dedicated to bringing awareness to protecting our planet, first celebrated 52 years ago. Although we have gone decades since the commemoration of this day, we still have a long way to go when it comes to prioritizing the deadly threats we face.
The truth is, many of my colleagues in Congress have long neglected climate action, and have continued to kick the can down the road for future generations to deal with. This Earth Day, I’m determined to change that.
The climate crisis is real, and America should be leading the fight against it, rather than ignoring it. As a proud advocate for climate action in Congress, will you pitch in to support my efforts to quickly tackle this ongoing crisis?
In accordance with the need to address the ongoing climate emergency, I have signed the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge, reinforcing that I
refuse to take contributions from oil and gas companies that are actively destroying our planet, and threatening the lives of future generations while they’re at it.
I am also a proud supporter of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal Resolution, aiming to take US carbon emissions down to net-zero levels while promoting green infrastructure, industry, and jobs. It’s the future that’s at stake here.
This Earth day, we must recognize the urgency of taking action against the climate crisis. Please show your support by pitching in $15 now, to give my colleagues and I the resources we need to make America a global leader in this fight.
Thank you for your continued support,
Jerry
