Celebrate National Volunteer Week
It’s National Volunteer Week. NVFS honors the many volunteers who support our programs. From reading to children in our Head Start program to providing meals at our shelter to distributing food to hundreds of families at our Hunger Resource Center, volunteers are vital to helping NVFS serve the community. Visit our Facebook page to see how we are celebrating the valuable contributions of our volunteers.
Donate your time and talents to NVFS and view our volunteer opportunities on our website. Contact the NVFS Volunteer Team regarding any questions.

NVFS Earns Funding to Support Afghan Refugees in Northern Virginia
NVFS received grants from the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties' McDermott Family Fund and the Community Emergency Relief Fund to serve Afghan refugees and those impacted by the crisis. NVFS’ Multicultural Center (MC) provides mental health, legal and case management, and information/referral services. The grants will help recently arrived Afghan evacuees and refugees move out of the initial crisis and basic needs phase of resettlement, into longer term recovery phases. Learn more about the grant investment.
