John,
Happy Earth Day!
Growing up, I cherished the time I spent outdoors, trekking through the woods or picnicking with my family. Now, as a parent, I adore spending days outside with my daughters, whether it’s in our own backyard or across our district and Virginia! Our beautiful commonwealth provides ample opportunity to enjoy mountains, rivers, and beaches, and our family makes sure to take advantage of all Virginia has to offer.
However, as we connect with these natural wonders, we must act on our responsibility to protect our environment. We can make positive, lasting change for our children and generations to come by investing in alternative and renewable energy sources and decreasing pollution.
In Congress, I’m devoted to this mission. I serve as Chair of the House Agriculture Committee’s Conservation and Forestry Subcommittee, where we aspire to build long-term climate solutions that are beneficial to the environment, farmers, and rural economies.
Last year, I was proud to help pass the bipartisan infrastructure package, which invests overdue dollars in clean, renewable energy. Initiatives like this remind us of the transformative work we can accomplish when we work in service of the common good.
Addressing climate change is one of the biggest challenges our country faces. It is a national security and economic imperative, and I am committed to working on solutions in Congress to tackle climate change and ensure we spend many more Earth Days on a healthy planet.
If you want to support my work in Congress advocating for these critical climate issues, please consider contributing to my re-election campaign today.

I hope you and your loved ones are able to spend your Earth Day soaking in the great outdoors!
Sincerely,
Abigail Spanberger
