On April 14, Pacific Research Institute and Encounter Books hosted a special event at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida celebrating the life and legacy of the late Angelo Codevilla, one of the conservative movement’s greatest thinkers and historians.

The event featured a conversation with Michael Anton, Lecturer in Politics and Research Fellow at Hillsdale College; Charles Kesler, editor of the Claremont Review of Books; and Encounter Books publisher Roger Kimball. The trio discussed the lasting impact of Codevilla’s work and his forthcoming and posthumously published book, America’s Rise and Fall Among Nations: Lessons in Statecraft from John Quincy Adams (Encounter Books).

The book examines how John Quincy Adams’s insights are applicable to our current domestic and international environments and exemplify what “America First” can mean in our time. Codevilla explains how Adams’s teachings chart a clear path to escape America’s previous eleven disastrous decades of so-called “progressive” international relations.

We were delighted to have so many supporters and new friends join us in Palm Beach. For more information about America’s Rise and Fall Among Nations, please click here.
