Today’s Historic Announcement
This morning our staff joined Gov. Evers in Milwaukee to announce the Office of Environmental Justice – an initiative you and your fellow conservation voters have long advocated for. Black, Indigenous, and people of color have been disproportionately impacted by the climate crisis. A dedicated office at the state level will help mitigate these injustices by working with communities and creating inclusive opportunities for growth. We applaud the collaborative work of the Milwaukee Environmental Roundtable and the governor for establishing this important office.

Have Hope, Act Now.
One of the most effective ways you can support our work year-round is by giving monthly – it is a convenient, budget friendly way to support the movement. Sustaining gifts give us the resources we need to keep our organizing work going strong to elect conservation leaders in November who will champion the transition to clean energy. The progress we’re celebrating this Earth Day was made possible by conservation voters like you. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the successes we’ve achieved. And, as we do, let’s recommit to the fight for a just and equitable clean energy future.
Executive Director Kerry Schumann said it best in an op-ed published just this morning: “We must remember, remaining optimistic in the face of a daunting challenge isn’t naïve. It’s how we make progress.”
