John,
I want to reach out and wish you a Happy Earth Day! Today is an opportunity to spend time outside and enjoy all the natural beauty that our planet has to offer.
But we must also face the fact that the Earth is in danger. Climate change is here now. In Connecticut and around the world, we are already seeing its effects on our air quality, wildlife, the severity of natural disasters, and more.
That’s why I was one of the original co-sponsors of the Green New Deal, authored legislation to put a tax on carbon, and voted for historic levels of investment in green energy. We have the opportunity to fight climate change while creating new clean-energy jobs. If you’re with me, add your name here:
It’s going to take transformative solutions to reverse the climate crisis. It doesn’t just make environmental sense, it makes economic sense.
This means ending our dependence on fossil fuels, investing in clean-energy technologies, implementing a carbon tax, and more. It’s going to take a lot of work, John, but I won’t stop fighting for a greener, cleaner future.
Join me in this fight by signing on now.
Thank you,
John
