Breaking news, John xxxxxx: Leaked audio footage of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy contradicts his repeated denials of planning to tell the president he should step down after January 6th.

The audio clip implicates McCarthy for privately discussing options to get Trump to quit with GOP Rep. Liz Cheney — claims that he has vehemently denied ever since.

Instead, he attacked Rep. Cheney for doing exactly that — standing up to Trump — while he stood back and embraced the Big Lie conspiracy theory of the far-right.
