John,
I want to start by saying Happy Earth Day!
Growing up, I remember Earth Day was something insignificant — a reason to talk about our environment in school or pledge to recycle more aluminum cans.
But, as climate change advanced and the existential threat of the climate crisis became clear, it took on new meaning. It turned into a yearly reminder that we have a responsibility to protect our environment — and that we’re running out of time.
This Earth Day, I’m proud to be leading an incredible grassroots movement, because I know that the only way to make meaningful progress in the fight against climate change is to stand together and fight for it.
We can pass a Green New Deal, take immediate action to mitigate climate change, and protect our communities from the worst impacts of the climate crisis.
But we can only do it if we continue to stand together and demand that our representatives fight like hell for a Green New Deal. If you’re with me, click here to add your name and join me in my fight for a Green New Deal and a sustainable, livable future.
