President Biden is making his first visit to the State of Washington since being sworn into office, and I’m thrilled to welcome him to our beautiful state to celebrate Earth Day and reaffirm our commitment to climate action.
In the first year of Democratic control of the White House and Congress, we’ve been hard at work restoring environmental protections that were stripped by the Trump Administration and expanding on our efforts to combat the climate crisis. I am proud that President Biden has already issued multiple executive orders to address climate change and make it a national priority going forward.
Our Democratic majority proves that who's in charge makes a difference when it comes to making real progress on our values – like fighting the climate crisis and protecting our environment.
I’m proud of what we have accomplished on this front, but President Biden and I know there’s more work to do.
