Hi John,
It's Earth Day — and while the Green New Deal may be deadlocked in Congress, you know we've got a way to still make an impact.
Run for Something has partnered with Friends of the Earth Action, Lead Locally, and Oil Change International to train thousands of folks to Run for Climate at the state and local level. Together, we can build a greener future from the grassroots up.
The free, remote Run for Climate training is happening from Saturday, May 14th to Monday, May 16th, and we'd love to have you there. Sign up now — or nominate another diverse young progressive who cares about the earth.
Turning climate inaction into action starts locally, with fighting for clean energy in our communities, public transportation, more green spaces — and that's just the beginning.
Run for Climate is going to be a weekend-long training where you'll get to work with experienced campaign trainers to learn all about building a solid get-out-the-vote strategy, grassroots volunteer-driven campaigning, fundraising and social media strategies, and TONS more. And it's 100% free!
If you're thinking about running for office — or just really care about climate justice — consider signing up for Run for Climate. Even if you're not sure about whether you want to run, this training is an amazing way to learn how you can support the climate movement and other candidates who are running for climate.
The weekend-long Run for Climate training is starting in three weeks, so get excited and get ready. RSVP now or tell a friend!
Let's do this,
