[1]Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin
"I don't know about you guys, but I think climate change is bulls**t."
That's what Ron Johnson had to say at a Republican luncheon.
Let's be clear:
Scientists agree that global temperatures are rising because of human activity. And we're already experiencing the effects of climate change from violent tropical storms and heatwaves to wildfires and flooding.
That is why we need urgent action on climate change at the federal level.
So today — on Earth Day — we're asking you to stand with Mandela and send a clear message about where you stand on this issue.
Add your name to tell Congress to pass bold legislation to address the climate crisis. We simply cannot afford to wait any longer to save our planet from the disastrous effects of climate change.

When Mandela served as chair of the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change, he brought people together from all across the state of Wisconsin. He's very proud of the work that he did on the Task Force because it encompassed everything – from the environment and racial justice to economic opportunity and public health.
Taking action on climate change is about protecting our planet for generations to come. And it is also an opportunity to boost our economy and put millions of people back to work in jobs that pay a living wage.
But taking on the climate crisis is going to require all of us, which is why it's so important that we show we're in this together.
