This week, Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-45) is out with a powerful new ad after a Democrat challenger made a racist joke about the Korean-American congresswoman. You can watch the full ad here.

Tuesday, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) called out the irresponsible behavior and lack of leadership displayed by the Biden administration regarding the lack of security at the Southern Border. Click below to learn more. 

Wednesday, Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN-05), the first and only Ukrainian-born member of Congress, returned to the United States following a short visit to her home country. Axios: Biden unveils new weapons package for Ukraine.President Biden on Thursday announced another $800 million in military aid for Ukraine, including heavy artillery, bringing the total U.S. military aid since Russian invaded on Feb. 24 to around $3.4 billion.

 

FOX News: Midterm elections: Immigration, Title 42 leave Democrats in 'bad shape,' campaign experts say. An already tough midterm year for Democrats is poised to get rougher when the Biden administration rescinds Title 42 next month, a move experts warn could lead to a rush of migrants seeking asylum in the United States.

 

Breitbart: GOP Rep. Miller-Meeks: Biden Doing the Opposite of Shutting Down the Virus, Not the Country. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) reacted to a federal judge striking down the federal transit mask mandate by stating that the Biden administration could have gotten itself a win on the issue. 

 

NPR: How soaring inflation forces stark choices. From rising rent to higher heating bills, surging inflation impacts everybody, but it poses a particular hardship for people with little extra money to spare. On Tuesday, the Labor Department reported that consumer prices in March were 8.5% higher than a year ago — the sharpest increase since December of 1981.

Politico: The California midterm contests to watch.Both Kim and Steel flipped their seats in 2020, ousting incumbent Democrats Gil Cisneros and Harley Rouda. This time around, Kim faces Democratic challenger Asif Mahmood, and Steel is up against Democrat Jay Chen.
