Dear ,

My wife and I are excited to celebrate Earth Day in partnership with
NPCA this year. It is important to us, and for all, that we protect
Earth's landscapes.

Since the day my wife and I met, we planned to travel full time after
we got married. In the Fall of 2019, we sold 80% of our belongings,
packed the rest in our truck, and headed off to our first of many
adventures. We now document our travels on Instagram as
@WanderfulWives.

As we traveled, we experienced the effects of climate change on our
parks. In Alaska we saw glaciers receding and bears coming out of
hibernation early. We faced harsher winters at Kenai Fjords National
Park and longer, more severe wildfires across the west. Mother Earth,
as resilient as she is, is struggling. Those who can afford to do
something--governments but also individuals--must act.

The science is clear. Climate change is affecting everything we love,
and there is no doubt that human actions are accelerating it. Let's
help our national parks this Earth Day by demanding Congress fund
programs that protect our parks' most vulnerable natural, cultural,
and historic resources for all of us.

Our parks offer places of inspiration and reflection. Disconnecting
from the modern world and immersing yourself in the outdoors has real
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits. It can decrease
stress and anxiety, while increasing confidence, strength, and
self-reliance. This is what our parks offer all of us -- from the
elated feeling of summiting a mountain, to the calmness of sitting by
and listening to a river, to watching the sunset over the sea.

To preserve these joys, we must tackle climate change head on. Join
us in demanding Congress support legislation that promotes clean
energy and better prepares our parks and public lands to combat rising
temperatures and extreme weather.

We cannot afford to wait. We must act on climate now. Thank you for
your support.

Wishing you a Happy Earth Day,
