Today is Earth Day, and I want to direct your attention to three of my planet-protecting colleagues: Senators Maggie Hassan, Mark Kelly, and Raphael Warnock.

Here are just a couple things these senators have in common:

They're each champions in our shared fight to mitigate the worst impacts of the climate crisis.

Each of them are in tight re-election fights against Republicans who, frankly, refuse to take necessary action to protect our precious planet.
We must keep Senators Hassan, Warnock, and Kelly in office to ensure that the Senate stays blue and fighting for the environmental protections that benefit all of us.

In my neighboring state of New Hampshire, Senator Maggie Hassan has spent decades working to keep our air and water clean. I am proud to be a co-sponsor alongside her on the Clean Energy for America Act and work together to invest in clean energy and infrastructure for our nation.

Since joining the Senate just a couple years ago, my colleague Senator Mark Kelly has fought fiercely to combat climate change while creating good-paying jobs for working families. I was grateful for his leadership as we worked to pass the bi-partisan Growing Climate Solutions Act to increase opportunities for farmers and ranchers to steward our environment.

And as senator from Georgia, Senator Raphael Warnock has been a first hand witness to the devastation that flooding and extreme weather can cause. I am so appreciative of his voice, advocacy, and leadership to ensure our caucus's work towards climate and environmental justice centers our most marginalized communities.

To mitigate the growing impacts of climate change, it's time for all of us to ramp up our efforts to protect our earth for our children and grandchildren.

To move forward as a united nation and tackle this mounting challenge, we simply must hold on to our Senate majority and keep these environmental champions in office.
