Hi John, I wanted to reach out to give you a quick update on the Cartwright for Congress campaign’s finances as we prepare to enter the busy months of canvassing and introducing the Congressman to new voters in our district over the summer.

We had a successful first quarter of 2022, but fundraising has dropped off recently. With Kevin McCarthy’s political group with almost a hundred million dollars on hand getting involved in our race, we cannot afford to slip up with our grassroots fundraising.

I know it’s a busy time of year and many of us are feeling the effects of inflation, but when the fate of the House depends on whether we keep PA-08 blue or not, we need to come together as a community and as Democrats now more than ever.

I’ve crunched the numbers, and if we can raise $3,000 today, it’ll put us back on track – I know that’s a big goal for one day, but this is important.

From Steve Bannon to Newt Gingrich, big names in the far-right establishment are all coming forward to support Matt’s opponent. We know that support comes with lots of fundraising.

However, our grassroots-powered campaign is focused on people, not big special interest groups, which is why we know we can win. The voters of Northeastern Pennsylvania can see right through these corporate-funded dark money groups – we just need the resources to make sure our message isn’t being drowned out by their noise.
