Dear Friend,
I wanted to share three great ways to celebrate Earth Day this
year:
1. Make a special Earth Day
contribution
We've
raised $11,831 towards our $30K goal!
We are in the final days of our Earth Day fundraising drive.
Over the last few weeks, members like you have stepped up with their
support. They've donated $10, $100, and a few have given more.
There is no minimum -- it's about participation to support
grassroots activism that makes a real impact in Ohio. With each active
member we grow stronger.
2. Record a short video
message to Governor Mike DeWine
Ohioans might be divided on many issues, but people from all
across the state have questions for Governor DeWine regarding his
lack of leadership in cleaning up corruption in Ohio and leading our
state through the House Bill 6 scandal.
Please take a minute to record a short message to the Governor on
your phone and send it to us. Here are some more detailed
instructions if you need them.
3. Write a letter to the editor
about the OVEC coal plants
Thanks to House Bill 6, Ohioans pay $287,000 every
day to help bail out a coal plant in Indiana. It's time to
pass SB 117 and HB 351 and get our money back. Here's an
example written by Mark Wallach from Shaker Hts:
"The most important and direct thing that Ohio can
do to fight climate change and air pollution is to end the
ridiculous subsidies which Ohioans are paying to keep two coal-burning
power plants in operation."
Thank you for helping us celebrate this season of hope and
renewal!

P.S.If you appreciate what we do — calling on Ohio leaders to
ensure greater transparency in the state's utility regulatory system
and taking bold action to advance an equitable, clean energy future —
please donate today.
