We’re celebrating Earth Day with environmental champions running for Congress!
All of our candidates are refusing fossil fuel money because they wholeheartedly believe that we deserve representatives who work for us, not Big Oil.
Derek Marshall (CA-23) knows that the time to transform America is right now, that’s why he will fight to enact a Green New Deal that will provide quality-paying union jobs with full benefits.
Derek is running to replace Trump-Republican Jay Obernolte who has an environmental scorecard of a mere 9% according to the League of Conservation Voters.
In Congress, Sol Sandoval (CO-03) will push for a major investment in our energy infrastructure to reach 100% clean, renewable energy and transportation by 2030. Her district has spent the last few years fighting off extraordinary wildfires that have been exacerbated by climate change.
Sol is running to defeat climate-denier Lauren Boebert who had introduced a bill in January 2021 to block President Biden from re-entering the Paris Climate Accord. Plus, her husband makes thousands from the fossil fuel industry.
Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) believes that we need a Green New Deal because the way we address climate change needs to be as aggressive as the threat it poses. Jessica will ensure a just transition that empowers and guarantees opportunities for workers in the renewable energy industry.
Right now, Jessica is in a run-off election against incumbent Henry Cuellar who has accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from the fossil fuel industry and has consistently supported policies that roll back protections that keep our water drinkable, our air breathable, and our communities safe from environmental threats.
In Congress, Erica Smith (NC-01) will not only push for a Green New Deal, she will fight for a Blue New Deal to protect our fragile oceans as well.
Erica’s plan will combat the climate crisis by creating millions of new jobs building the energy system of the future.
Thanks for celebrating Earth Day with us.
