John,

I’m Whitney Mixdorf. I am a mom, a small business owner, a lifelong Iowan, and the daughter of a third-generation North Iowa farmer. I’m running for State Senate in District 30 because I believe that Iowa is worth fighting for. I’ll explain more in a moment, but first, I’m hoping you can spare $5 to get my campaign off to a strong start.

CHIP IN MORE! ([link removed])

My desire to serve the people of my community was fueled by watching my grandpa make his mark as longtime Cerro Gordo County Supervisor. Through his leadership, I learned the value of bipartisanship and gained a real understanding of the importance of working together for the public good. We need leaders focused on improving the lives of all Iowans, not just a select few.

These issues aren’t hypothetical to me: as the daughter of a farmer, I will fight to protect family farmers from corporate takeovers; as a mom, I will defend our public schools and educators; and as a small business owner, I will work to build our local economy.

I’m running to represent District 30 and advocate for families that need help, not just talk about them while they fall further behind. If you’re with me, will you chip in $5 or whatever you can spare to ensure I have the resources to run a successful campaign?
