Folks,

I have some big news to share with you:

Sen. Cory Booker and I just introduced the John Lewis Equality in Medicare and Medicaid Treatment Act in Congress. By ensuring that the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation considers the impact of its payment models on rural communities and people of color – this bill will help lower costs, reduce racial disparities, and build a more just healthcare system.

Before I go any further, will you sign my petition demanding Congress pass this necessary bill that will strengthen Medicare and Medicaid and improve the healthcare of millions of Americans? [[link removed]]

My dear friend, the late Congressman John Lewis, spent his career working to achieve true justice and knew that increasing access to health care is an important step toward that. Because of John’s passion for health equity throughout his career, Senator Booker and I titled this bill in his honor.

Since I’ve been elected, I’ve fought to expand Medicaid, strengthen the Affordable Care Act, and advance health equity. Although the GOP has tried to weaken Medicare and Medicaid, I’ll always support these programs that are vital to Alabama’s hard-working families.

Now, I need your help to make health care more affordable and improve health equity across our country.

Folks, this bill will strengthen our nation’s most effective healthcare programs and improve access to care for millions. Will you sign my petition, demanding Congress pass the John Lewis Equality in Medicare and Medicaid Treatment Act? [[link removed]]
