Hi again – it’s me, Charles, GWP’s Southern Organizing Advisor 👋

I just picked up Joe here in Mississippi, and I couldn’t be more excited to be back in my home state along with him.

We have a lot to do in the next few days and so many folks to talk to. While in Mississippi, we’ll be connecting with:

  • Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons
  • Our very first Mississippi grantee, the Mississippi Workers’ Center
  • Our new grantees at Quitman County Development Organization
  • Mississippi State Conference NAACP

  • Secretary Mike Espy
  • And many more!

I am excited to finally get the chance to show Joe around my home state & share with him (and all of you!) the amazing amount of grassroots organizing happening on the ground. And you can bet I'm going to make sure Joe gets his fill of some fine Southern cooking in between all these conversations.
