Black women college graduates shoulder most of the student debt in our country while being paid just 64 cents for every dollar paid to a white man. The current system created the need for Black women to borrow, but not the means to pay, further expanding the racial wealth gap in America. Black women hold 22 percent more debt than white women and 36 percent more than white men.
