A new poll about my race shows the numbers are close (I'm just two points behind Marco Rubio!). That's a statistical tie, but the Cook Political report also increased my chances of winning. I need to surge ahead, John – and the only way to do it is hitting my $10,000 midnight fundraising goal. Missing tonight's goal isn't an option.

Running a campaign in Florida is expensive – and Florida's last Senate race was decided by just 0.12 points (10,033 votes), so every dollar will make a difference. With Marco Rubio and the Senate Republican campaign arm pulling in a combined $48.8 million last quarter, missing my goal tonight could cost Floridians and our country a meaningful win.

Grassroots supporters like you propelled my campaign launch to historic heights. Your support fueled The Cook Political Report to increase my odds of winning. And this grassroots team is the reason political pundits across the board are saying I have what it takes to defeat Sen. Marco Rubio.
