Since Ken Paxton was sworn in as our state’s Attorney General, he’s proven time and again that he’s unfit to “lead” our state. From his securities fraud indictment just months after taking office, to his ongoing FBI investigation, to his involvement in the January 6th insurrection, Paxton has flaunted that he’s a liar and a cheat.

But now he thinks he can force Texans to foot the bill for his embarrassing behavior -- a $45,000 bill. Paxton spent the last two years evading misconduct complaints for his bogus attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. And now he’s using our taxpayer dollars to pay for his defense as he attempts to avoid facing the consequences of his actions.

Friend, this is just the latest in an almost decade-long saga of Ken Paxton thinking the laws of our state and country do not apply to him. Over the last nearly ten years, Paxton’s personal legal problems have cost Texans hundreds of thousands of dollars.
