Detroit DSA is an
800+ member-funded organization. We receive no money from outside
sources so we can say things like "Defund the Police" and "Abolish
ICE" without losing funding, and we will always act democratically in
the interests of our members and the working class! If you're able to, we ask that you make
monthly contributions as they more directly benefit our chapter. Thank
you for whatever amount you're able to contribute!
According to our records, you are not
yet a member. If you're ready to join us in
fighting for the working class, go to: dsausa.org/join.

Hey comrade!
We're once again celebrating the working class of the world this
May Day, with a potluck picnic on Belle Isle! We're
putting the "social" in socialist, as comrades new and old are
encouraged to join and bring along their friends and
family who aren't yet a part of
DSA.
The following weekend, we'll be in Clark Park for our May General
Membership Meeting, which will be this year's first in-person GM
(weather permitting)! Our Political Education Committee will be a
leading a discussion on "Why An Organization", we'll have updates on
our DSA for Rashida Campaign, and we'll have updates
on how members can run for our next Steering
Committee in June! We're hoping to see you (and plenty of
sun) out there!
Solidarity forever,
Detroit

🌹 UPCOMING EVENTS 🌹
May Day Celebration Sunday, May 1st, 12-4PM Belle Isle
This year, we're celebrating workers all over the world with
a potluck social on May Day
at Belle Isle! Whether you're new to DSA or a longtime organizer, this
is a wonderful opportunity to get to know your comrades and hopefully
kick off a summer filled with other outdoor events. We'll be joined by
Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, so you won't want to
miss it! Please make sure you RSVP
for the exact address.
If you haven't made it out to a DSA event yet and
don't know where to begin, this is a perfect chance for you to meet
other members of our chapter and learn more about them and the work
we're doing. We really hope you can make it!
