After September 11th, I knew I wanted to work in counter-terrorism. It's why I went to law school and joined the National Security Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office. But in recent years, I've seen firsthand that some of the biggest threats we face are right here at home.

The January 6th insurrection didn't happen by accident. Extremists in Washington, big tech companies, and media outlets benefit from spreading conspiracies and lies -- even as they erode our democracy and create devastating societal rifts.

My opponent Ken Calvert is one of Washington's worst offenders. He perpetuated the lie that the presidential election was stolen, and put party interests ahead of his oath to defend our democracy.

We have A LOT of work to do for our community. We need to improve health care access, grow the Inland Empire's economy, and protect our environment from the climate crisis. But we can't get anything done if we don't agree on basic facts.
