The National Urban League is warning that some lawmakers and violent
extremists are plotting to "disenfranchise, delude, manipulate, and
intimidate American voters and establish a one-party rule."
The President of the National Urban League issues a dire warning:
"Democracy is under siege, and there's a plot to destroy American
democracy.”
There’s one step every person can take to save our democracy and ensure it
does not fall into the hands of authoritarians: Support pro-voter,
pro-democracy, Democratic Secretary of State candidates who believe in
democracy are committed to protecting our elections.

the Secretaries of State -- our ally working to ensure Democrats win
critical Secretary of State elections in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and
Michigan. Can you chip in today?
The organization cites five steps every person of color can take to combat
right-wing scare tactics: Checking registration status, knowing your
state's voter ID laws, knowing where to vote, making a plan to vote, and
voting in every election.
But democracy and the right to vote should not depend on individual
actions and precautions. The machinery of democracy itself must be
protected and operated by people with a deep, abiding belief that voting
is a sacred right.
We cannot allow violence to threaten the foundation of our democracy. We
cannot allow the millions of dollars being spent by Trump supporters to
install election officials who do not believe in democracy.
Now is the time to ensure pro-voter, pro-democracy Democratic Secretaries
of State win so they can protect our democracy and the right to vote.

protect voting rights and our democracy.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
