On April 26 at 1:00 PM ET, Health Affairs will join with the Society of Health Policy Young Professionals to host a Lunch and Learn event on the topic, “Food Insecurity and Other Health-Related Social Needs Among Older Adults.”
Authors Brian W. Powers and Stephanie M. Franklin, both of Humana, will present the findings of a large, national survey of older adults enrolled in MA, which found a high burden of health-related social needs, including financial strain, food insecurity, and poor housing quality, as well as significant disparities according to race, socioeconomic status, and sex.
Register today for this timely discussion of new data and policy prescriptions related to social determinants of health and equity. Health Affairs Deputy Editor Rob Lott will host.
