this week, Pramila tweeted something very clear about student debt
cancellation.

Student debt cancellation is gender justice. Student debt cancellation is
economic justice.

Then, Fox & Friends railed against it. It’s unfortunately so typical that
Fox News would get upset at a leader like Pramila for fighting for social,
racial, economic, gender, and environmental justice.

This will not deter Pramila. But we’re not only up
against the lawmakers who oppose canceling student debt, we’re also up
against cable news shows who would rather target Pramila than provide the
facts about student loan debt.

We know the facts: Women hold two-thirds of student debt, and Black
borrowers owe $25,000 more on average than white borrowers. Erasing
federal student loan debt would get rid of these disparities and relieve
the burden of debt for more than 45 million people.

That’s racial justice. That’s gender justice. That’s economic justice.

No matter what Fox News says, this is the reality in America. And we can
do something about it.
