THEN: Governor DeSantis decided these maps weren’t gerrymandered enough! He vetoed the legislature’s proposal and DEMANDED new maps that were even more rigged to guarantee GOP victories in House races.

NOW: The legislature has done something unprecedented: They’ve given Ron DeSantis the power to draw the new maps himself!

This has never happened before in Florida’s history — one GOP strategist even called it “a mile marker on the road to one-man rule in Florida.”
