Sarah supports equity based legislation that will give Americans a fresh start!
- Create a universal healthcare system (like most of our peer nations), where most services are free, and the birth of a child does not result in a $10,000 debt.
- Remove all barriers for education and make 2 year college and skilled trades education free. Cap student loan interest rates at 0.75 percent for those pursuing higher education. Highly skilled workers will be earning more by default, paying more taxes, and contributing to our economy.
- Create wage-driven affordable childcare system that will pay the daycare employees a real living wage. Parents should not be paying more than rent or a mortgage for childcare. The pandemic has shown that women have been shuttered from the workforce, this is an injustice to the progress all women have made over the past century.
- We must act now to have any hope of addressing the existential threat of climate change. The pivot from a fossil fuel economy to a green economy while creating clean technology jobs requires a leader with experience building climate chance technology that then translate to workforce development programs. Sarah Klee Hood directs a clean technology incubator and is the candidate we need to combat climate change!
In order to do these things, you must elect public servants to Congress, not the wealthy elite, or the well connected.
