I wanted to reach out to give you a critical update on where we're at in this final phase of the redistricting cycle since Republicans are unsurprisingly still finding ways to manipulate the process, even this late in the game.

Here’s what’s going on:

➔ The Wisconsin Supreme Court adopted egregiously gerrymandered state legislative maps, which effectively reduced representation for communities of color.
➔ The Ohio Redistricting Commission passed a fourth set of gerrymandered state legislative maps, which the Ohio Supreme Court struck down again.
➔ The Florida Legislature has green-lit intentions to support a congressional map put forth by Governor Ron DeSantis, who has shown his commitment to enacting an extremely gerrymandered map and in doing so, reducing opportunities for voters of color.
➔ In states across the country, Republicans are utilizing a fringe legal theory to promote the idea that state legislatures should have sole power over redistricting, attempting to bypass independent redistricting commissions, overrule governors, and ignore state supreme courts.

John, these updates are just a few of the reasons the All On The Line team continues to forge forward in our campaign for fair maps and elections.
