I'm Aaron Jacobs, Maggie Hassan's Campaign Manager. I've been working with the Senator for a long time – since her gubernatorial reelection campaign in 2014 – and I've seen her accomplish a lot in these past eight years.

I was with her on election night in 2016. Long after the polls closed, Donald Trump was projected the winner, and Democrats across the country went to sleep uncertain about our country’s future. I was awake — preparing for a recount because the margin was so close in her New Hampshire Senate race. We watched with bated breath as the results trickled in from towns across the state, before finally the race was called and she held on with that 1,017-vote margin that flipped New Hampshire’s Senate seat blue. 

I was with her for another long night in 2017: when Republicans tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act. It looked like they were going to succeed — until John McCain gave the pivotal thumbs down. We realized that night that if it weren’t for those 1,017 votes in New Hampshire, millions of Americans would have lost their health insurance.
