The 2022 Primary season is heating up, with key primaries this May and June, including in New York, Texas, North Carolina, and Michigan! Meet the candidates this Sunday.
John,
The 2022 primary season is heating up with key primaries this May and June, including in New York, Texas, North Carolina, and Michigan!
We’re running WFP champions all across the country who are fighting for our values by challenging anti-worker incumbents, spreading a progressive message in new and open districts, and protecting seats from right-wing opponents.
At the WFP Assembly this Sunday, April 24 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, we’ll be joined by 2022 WFP champions Nida Allam, Jessica Cisneros, Congressman Andy Levin, and Ana María Archila as we discuss what these primaries will mean for the midterms and beyond.
To win the policies we need, to strengthen our communities and protect our climate, and to achieve justice for all, it’s going to take more than a Democratic majority. We need a working families majority. At Sunday’s WFP Assembly, our monthly virtual gathering where we recommit ourselves to each other and the movement, we’ll be hearing from a few of the people working to be a part of that majority.
Our assembly will feature Ana María Archila, who’s running for Lt. Governor of New York. Ana María has been a leader in New York and nationally in the fight for immigrant rights, worker justice, LGBTQ rights, and women’s rights for two decades. And since her opponent resigned from the Lt. Governorship last week, she’s in a stronger position than ever to win this race and bring real change to New York.
We’ll also be speaking with Jessica Cisneros, a human rights lawyer working to unseat Henry Cuellar; Nida Allam, the progressive candidate for NC-04; and Michigan Congressman and WFP champion Andy Levin.
These candidates have the power to make real change in our communities and in our lives. And with their primaries just a few weeks away, this is your chance to hear directly from them about their plans to build a country where everyone can thrive.
