Our criminal legal system is racist, xenophobic, rogue, and fundamentally broken. That’s why I introduced The People’s Justice Guarantee — to dismantle and radically transform our system of mass incarceration through a large-scale decarceration effort.
Together, we can achieve a progressive vision for our criminal legal system that focuses on early intervention, prioritizes rehabilitation over incarceration.
One part of the People’s Justice Guarantee is the federal legalization of marijuana – which is a racial and social justice issue.
