But since then, we’ve only seen delays and excuses. Jamaal is leading the call to cancel every penny of the student debt that weighs down college students and working families — and with over $100,000 in student debt himself, he knows firsthand the need for immediate and comprehensive relief.
- Working to lower prices for everyday people: Between a global health pandemic, an unjust war, and immense inflation, families have been asked to pay higher and higher prices for gasoline, food, and other basic necessities. That's why Jamaal is teaming up with Sen. Bernie Sanders to ensure working people aren’t paying the price of corporate greed. By introducing the Ending Corporate Greed Act, Jamaal is working to impose a 95 percent tax on the windfall profits of the corporations with more than $500 million in annual revenue.
