[1]Women's March

At the beginning of 1973, the last U.S. troops had just withdrawn from the
Vietnam War.

A gallon of gas cost only 40 cents.

Women were *still* legally being denied the right to open a credit card in
their own name.

And on January 22, 1973, the right to an abortion became the law of the
land under landmark Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade.

John, so much has
changed since the year 1973 — and women have fought for and won so much
progress. Now, in the face of the most dire threats to our reproductive
freedom in decades, we must say louder and clearer than ever: We won't go
back.

Right now, Roe v. Wade is under direct attack from all sides. Donald
Trump's stolen Supreme Court threatens our reproductive rights on the
federal level, while anti-woman GOP state legislators pass law after law
rolling back our rights to safe, legal, and accessible abortions — despite
the fact that a majority of Americans believe that abortion should remain
legal. That is why Women's March is launching our 1973 Fund to fund our
work to defend abortion rights across the nation.

[ [link removed] ]Will you donate $19.73, or anything you can, to Women's March's urgent
1973 Fund to defend abortion? We're seeing the most drastic threats to Roe
v. Wade in decades, and we can't afford to turn back the clock on our
health and rights.

In 2022, we refuse to return to the days when far too many women were
denied basic access to reproductive health care.

And yet, in 2022, we are faced with the grim and alarming reality that our
constitutional right to a safe, legal abortion is under direct and
immediate threat by Republicans and anti-choice politicians across the
nation. Especially since Mississippi has openly requested for the Supreme
Court to OVERTURN Roe v. Wade.

Women's March is calling all hands on deck to create a massive, women-led
movement to defend the rights promised to us under Roe v. Wade, so we're
asking you personally for your help:

[ [link removed] ]Please donate a special $19.73 donation right now to Women's March's
urgent 1973 Fund. Every penny will support our women-led organizing
movement to fight for our feminist values, defend Roe v. Wade, and protect
our reproductive health and rights.

In solidarity,

Women's March

P.S. When it comes to reproductive health and abortion rights, everything
is now on the line. We can't afford to let Republicans roll back the clock
on our rights, [ [link removed] ]so if defending Roe v. Wade is worth $19.73 to you,
please chip in to our new 1973 Fund to defend abortion access.
