OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) Daily Report 278/2019 issued on 23 November 2019

Based on information from the Monitoring Teams as of 19:30, 22 November 2019. All times are in Eastern European Time.

Summary

Compared with the previous reporting period, the SMM recorded fewer ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and more in Luhansk region.
The SMM continued to monitor the situation in disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske.
The Mission observed a weapon in violation of the withdrawal lines in a non-government-controlled area of Donetsk region.
The SMM continued to facilitate repairs to and the operation of critical civilian infrastructure on both sides of the contact line.
The SMM monitored public gatherings commemorating November 2013 events at Maidan.
Restrictions of the SMM’s freedom of movement continued, including at checkpoints near non-government-controlled Sosnivske, Zaichenko, Starolaspa and Bezimenne.
