As a former Marine recon officer, I always said: Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way.

 

Well, I didn't see anyone running for mayor I'd follow into battle, and I'm certainly not going to get out of the way!

 

There is FAR too much at stake for this great city we all love so much, which is suffering under the failed "leadership" of inept, self-serving, and corrupt career politicians.

 

John, I don't need this job; and I'm not interested in climbing the political ladder. You know that.

 

But I'm going to tell you this - I am determined to win this race and give this DUTY to my city 110%, every single day.

 

The ONLY thing holding Houston back from becoming world-class city is leadership. And I can promise you, nobody is more committed than me to getting Houston on the right track!

 

My first order of business will be ending the pay-to-play in city hall. I'll make sure Houston is open for business, tackle the issue of rising crime head on, and pursue innovative solutions to improve our infrastructure.
