Join Hunger Free America and 40 other respected nonprofits and advocacy groups on Tuesday, April 26th at 7pm ET, for a Gubernatorial Forum on Hunger, Poverty, Food, and Economic Opportunity.
A whopping 2.19 million state residents now struggle against hunger, more than one in four New Yorkers. A recent Siena College poll of registered voters across New York State, as well as exit polls from the previous gubernatorial election in 2018, show that about one in three New York State voters live in or near poverty, earning $50,000 annually or less. A coalition of 40 respected anti-hunger and food organizations is collaborating to organize this candidate forum, to give the candidates for Governor an opportunity to lay out their plans to address hunger and poverty in our state.
Errol Louis, Political Anchor at NY1 News, and Susan Arbetter, Political Anchor of Spectrum News 1, will co-moderate. Interpretation will be available via zoom in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, Bengali, Haitian Creole, Urdu, American Sign Language (ASL)
