Friend,

Elected officials are in Congress to serve their communities -- not line their pockets or protect Wall Street. That’s why I’m proud to support measures to ban Members of Congress from buying, selling, or trading stocks and to see strong pressure on this common-sense issue.

We are briefed on issues of national security, we have advanced knowledge about regulations, and access to confidential information on upcoming legislation.

Although there is legislation to protect against making financial decisions based on that non-public information, it does not go far enough. We need a ban on buying, selling, or trading stocks while in Congress -- and we need to build a movement of supporters to get it done. Chip in now if you’re with us. [[link removed]]

I am committed to serving you and part of that is building transparency. That’s what this ban will do. Let’s get it passed. [[link removed]]

Thanks, Nydia
