Today may be 4/20, team, but Ilhan has fought all year long to legalize marijuana and expunge records of cannabis-related offenses.
That’s because she knows legalizing marijuana not only helps people suffering with a number of medical conditions and boosts state economies — it’s a human rights issue.
Ilhan proudly co-sponsored the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act that passed the House earlier this month, so we can finally start repairing the harm the War on Drugs has caused. Now, she’s pushing the Senate to act on marijuana legalization — because so many livelihoods count on it.
This is an issue that the majority of Americans support, and it’s critical that we have the resources to mobilize voters to elect Ilhan and progressives up and down the ballot who will prioritize legalization. That’s why we’re asking:
Will you power our fight to legalize marijuana and expunge records by chipping in $4.20 before midnight?

Black Americans are nearly 4 times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than white Americans, even though usage rates are about the same.
The result? Families and communities are torn apart, and even once out of prison, many people have trouble finding a job or affordable housing as a result of marijuana convictions.
States across the country have taken action, with 37 states including Minnesota legalizing cannabis for medical use and 18 states legalizing it for recreational purposes. It’s beyond time to follow suit on the federal level.
Before the calendar flips to 4/21, donate $4.20 to support Ilhan and strong progressives who are fighting to legalize cannabis and end the War on Drugs:
